JOHN HANKIEWICZ original comic art
Original artwork by John Hankiewicz (Tepid, Kramers Ergot) for the fifth page of "Those Eyes", a five-page comic that originally appeared in Mome #11 from Fantagraphics Books. The story revolves around jazz legends Anita O'Day and Oscar Peterson.

About John Hankiewicz:
In 1995 John began self-publishing Tepid, a more-or-less annual comic, and since then has created numerous minicomics and artist's books as well as contributing to numerous anthologies. Funded with a Xeric award, the Summer '03 issue of Tepid was nominated for a 2004 Ignatz award in the category of Outstanding Comic, and Dance was a 2005 nominee in the category of Outstanding Minicomic. John's work has also appeared in Kramers Ergot, Arthur Magazine and The Chicago Reader. In addition, he is a printmaker whose etchings have been included in several juried exhibitions.
Specs: 11 × 14". Drawn in 2007.
Condition: Complete and intact, no tears or markings, a bit of opaque white paint, pasted-on elements. The bottom right panel was cut and replaced with what you see (attached from the back).
